While the Master Gun Vise has been available since 2022, the American Rifleman staff has extensively used the system, and we got a chance to converse with Real Avid in the studio to get a few more details.

If you’re new to Real Avid products, they’re worth looking into, and the Master Gun Vise is a must-have for the workbench. Designed with a locking ball-and-socket mechanism, with eight secure locking positions, users can freely position the unit at nearly any angle. And while locked, the Master Gun Vise can support up to 100 ft.-lbs. of force, which is perfect for setting AR barrels, muzzle devices and so on.

Smart-Jaws along with Gun-Fit jaw sleeves further aid in use of the system, eliminating marring of metal finishes and enhancing its versatility. Gun DIYers will find an integrated leveling knob with fine adjustments, which is a handy feature when mounting optics.

Be sure to check out Real Avid’s Master Gun Vise accessories, too. Watch our video above to learn more.
