For competition shooters and hunters, Glock is introducing three pistols with the new Modular Optic System (MOS). A section of the slide, near the rear sight, can be removed to make room for one of a set of base plates, provided with the pistol, for attaching one of several popular reflex optics. The three Glock MOS models that will be available 2015 will include the Practical Tactical Gen 4 G34 (9 mm), Gen 4 G35 (.40 S&W), and the new long-slide Gen 4 G40.

The G40 is a model handgun hunters have been waiting for. Chambered in 10 mm and fitted with a 15-round magazine, this new pistol features a long awaited 6" barrel. Stretching the barrel and slide not only gives the 10 mm round a little extra velocity, it increases the sight radius to a full 8" for improved accuracy. We've got an order in for a G40 to test, It's supposed to arrive right after SHOT Show, so stay tuned for the range results.
