James D. Julia is handling the sales from the Elmer Keith Estate Collection, which takes place on March 15. His prose graced the pages of books and magazines in a more romantic era, back when editors gleefully printed prose that detailed the author’s exploits, sweeping readers away in a first-person narrative on adventures they’d never dreamed possible. It brought a certain celebrity to the author, and Keith’s exploits and firearm knowledge made him legend.

I can’t afford to bid, and few companies have the ability to handle such an estate like James D. Julia, so there probably won’t be any sleeper bargains. However, the catalog is on line so I can at least window shop. You can, too, by hitting this link

Be forewarned, though, you’re going to see something you’ll want. Personally, I’m not sure I’d shoot anything I won, but if firearms could talk, the stories these could tell.
