Ruger continues to expand the American Rifle series each year, this time by adding a big-bore chambering to its Ranch configuration. Chambered in .450 Bushmaster, a straight-cased cartridge designed to replicate the performance of the esteemed .45-70 Gov’t, this compact 5-lb., 8-oz. gun is kept manageable due to a sizeable muzzle brake installed at the factory to its threaded 16.1" cold-hammer forged barrel. Like the rest of the Ranch line, the new thumper comes with a Flat Dark Earth synthetic stock, a Ruger Marksman Adjustable Trigger, a 70-degree, full-diameter, three-lug bolt, and a one-piece scope rail. It feeds from a detachable box magazine. ruger.com
