Ruger Wrangler Birdshead

Sturm, Ruger & Co. is expanding its handy and affordable Wrangler single-action .22 Long Rifle revolver line with a more compact version featuring a gracefully curved bird’s head grip, smooth black polymer stock panels and a barrel that has been shortened from 4.62" to 3.75".

Launched in 2019, Wranglers are based on the company’s six-shot Single-Six and similarly feature steel cylinders and cold-hammer-forged steel barrels. Like other Wranglers, the Birdsheads also employ components made from aluminum and zinc alloys in order to reduce costs. To provide a uniform appearance, the gun is treated with a Black, Silver or Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish.

A transfer-bar safety system and a loading gate interlock safety guard against unintentional discharges. Wranglers employ the same classic blade front sights and fixed, notch rear sights found on Ruger’s Vaquero and Bearcat models. For more information, please visit ruger.com.
