Winchester Ammunition is celebrating its commitment to American freedom with the USA Valor line, and a portion of every purchase of it goes to aid Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of military families. The limited-edition collection of military-inspired ammunition is now available in 9 mm, 5.56x45 mm NATO and 12-ga. buck shot.

“Winchester continues to demonstrate its commitment to the U.S. military and veterans across the country with the launch of the USA Valor limited-edition ammunition,” said Matt Campbell, Winchester’s vice president of sales and marketing. “As the largest small-caliber ammunition enterprise in the world and provider to the U.S. military, we are proud to be aligned with Folds of Honor and its mission.”

“We are so grateful for the patriots at Winchester and for the company’s generous support,” said Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “Winchester recognizes and addresses the needs of the military families we serve. These students deserve our help, and we’re thankful for Winchester’s commitment.”

Folds of Honor provides scholarships to the families of America’s fallen or disabled warfighters. The 501c(3) non-profit organization was established in 2007, the same year it issued its first scholarship.

Its programs include a children’s fund, with awards of up to $5,000 a year. Private school and tutoring services qualify, but a minimum of a 2.0 GPA must be maintained. The organization’s higher education fund addresses the needs of spouses and older children working toward their bachelor’s degree. Awards are up to $2,500 per term. In all, the organization has issued more than 29,000 scholarships since 2007. During the 2021-2020 school year alone, the total was 4,500.

In addition to supplying the U.S. Warfighter with the ammunition they depend on, Winchester has a tradition of supporting military and veteran causes—as a way to thank those who serve and honor the memory of the fallen—that began in World War I.
