CZ USA, based in Kansas City, Kans., announced a new addition to its successful lines of all-metal framed, hammer-fired semi-automatic handguns made for competition, the CZ Tactical Sport 2. The Tactical Sport 2, like the previous Tactical Sport, is geared specifically for sport-shooting competitions. like IPSC, USPSA, 3-Gun and Steel Challenge. The Tactical Sport 2 is also based off the classic CZ-75 style profile and frame.

The slide profile of the Tactical Sport 2 is similar to the CZ Shadow 2, with the reciprocating weight of the slide positioned as low as possible in order to reduce muzzle rise. The frame is also redesigned to improve overall ergonomics and further assist in reduced muzzle rise and increased user control. These are some of the characteristics of the Tactical Sport 2 geared specifically for the sport-shooting market.

Chambered for 9 mm, the Tactical Sport 2 has a slide and frame made entirely of steel, with an unloaded weight of 48 ozs. The Tactical Sport 2 has a 5.23"  cold-hammer forged barrel along with an overall length of 8.86", width of 1.57" and height of 5.8". Standard magazine capacity for the Tactical Sport 2 is 20 rounds, and the magazine well includes a large flare to assist in faster and easier reloads.

The Tactical Sport 2 includes a single-action trigger and exposed skeletonized hammer. Controls include a slide release on the left side, and enlarged magazine release, and ambidextrous thumb safeties located on the frame. The slide has serrations on both the front and rear sides for manipulation along with dovetailed fixed rear and fiber optic front iron sights. A beavertail is also included in the frame to improve handling and reduce any chance of slide bite.

The frame of the Tactical Sport 2 includes checkering on the front and rear backstraps to increase grip with to without the use of gloves. The blue grips that come with the Tactical Sport 2 are made of aluminum and have an aggressive checkering pattern.
Accessories are already available for the Tactical Sport 2 to be customized to the user's liking, as it is compatible with the existing aftermarket for the Tactical Sport line.

The suggested retail price of the CZ Tactical Sport 2 is $1,699. For more information on the CZ Tactical Sport 2 visit cz-usa.com.
