A man in Oneida, Tenn., thwarted a burglary attempt on his elderly mother's home. After receiving a phone call from his mother's caregiver, who had heard suspicious noises coming from elsewhere in the house, the man drove over to investigate. He found a woman in the basement with a pocket knife, and proceeded to hold her there at gunpoint until police arrived. (Independent Herald Oneida, Oneida, Tenn., 7/23/19)
