Springfield Armory has announced the manufacture of its first AR-10, the Saint Victor .308. Weighing in at 7.8 lbs., the rifle features a 16" lightweight-profile CMV barrel, Melonited inside and out for corrosion resistance. Surrounding this is a free-floating 15” handguard with M-Lok, that also serves to protect a mid-length gas system, which runs rearward from a pinned low-profile glass block. On the other end of the gas system is an enhanced, Melonited bolt carrier group, with a 9310 steel bolt that is MPI-tested and shot peened for reliability.

Up top, the Saint Victor .308 boasts a full-length “interrupted” rail to reduce weight and better accommodate modern shooting styles. The Accu-Tite tension system is designed to eliminate movement between the flat-top upper receiver and the lower receiver, ensuring a rock-solid feel. Spring-loaded flip-up sights are included, and a Springfield Armory-designed muzzle brake is affixed to help reduce barrel rise and soften recoil.

Finally, an enhanced nickel-boron coated single-stage flat trigger has been installed for better shot control. The Saint Victor .308 comes with a 20-round Magpul Gen M3 PMAG, and retails for $1399. For more information, check out springfield-armory.com.
