A New Mexico burglary suspect will have plenty of time to sit and think about his actions, but it might not be very comfortable. After the bad guy broke into what was then an unoccupied house, someone came home. The resident noticed things were amiss and drew his gun before going inside, where he caught the thief in the act. The intruder pulled out a box cutter and lunged at the armed citizen, who fired once, hitting the stranger in the backside. Charges are pending. (Albuquerque Journal, Albuquerque, NM, 4/3/18)

The Armed Citizen® Extra
When a Little Ceasars pizza establishment employee was locking up shop for the night, a man wearing a clown mask attacked him with a wooden pole and a pair of scissors. During the attack, the worker, a concealed-carry permit holder, was able to reach his firearm and shoot his assailant. Officers arrived and found the criminal lying in the parking lot. Police transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. (The Daytona-Beach News-Journal, Holy Hill, FL, 5/29/18)
