Wright Leather Works has introduced the Closer inside-the-waistband holster, the Ohio-based company’s rendition of the classic Bruce Nelson/Milt Sparks Summer Special. Some features include a reinforced mouth to ensure the holster stays open after the firearm is drawn, an ample guard to protect the wearer’s skin, and belt retention via two leather loops sized for either 1.5”- or 1.75”-wide belts. Of the belt loops, they secure via Pull-The-Dot snaps for enhanced security, and the Closer’s loop mount allows them to attach at a 20-degree cant for classic, strong-side, FBI-style carry, or they can be reversed for use in appendix or cross-draw carry. Unlike the rough-side-out design of the Summer Special, the Closer in Wright’s Classic Collection ($108) is smooth outside, rough inside, typical of most gun holsters. However, holsters from both the Master ($168) and Signature Collection ($208) feature interior lining for a smooth-in and smooth-out construction. For more information, visit wrightleatherworks.com
