STI International offers diverse catalog of high quality 1911 pattern pistols for personal protection and target shooting. Among the company's popular full-size offerings is the Model 2011. Thanks to it's double-stack magazine grip frame and durable design, the 2011 forms the foundation of some of the company's most expensive custom competition models, which can cost upward of $4,000.

To meet the need of those shooting enthusiasts looking for a quality gun at a more reasonable price, STI has launched the new multi-purpose Hawk 5.0 chambered in 9 mm. Designed for use as either a target shooting or defensive pistol, the Hawk 5.0 is constructed of matte blued carbon steel alloy with a Dawson fiber optic front sight and a low profile Heine rear sight. The slide has widely spaced front and rear cocking serrations and the 5.10" barrel is supported by a traditional removable barrel bushing.

The beaver tail grip safety is paired with a combat hammer. The 4.5 lb. skeletonized trigger is fitted with an over travel adjustment screw. The grip frame features fine checkering along the front of the grip, the mainspring housing and the finger rest located on the front of the trigger guard. The grip panels are molded polymer with diamond pattern checkering. A subtle, but useful magazine well allows for quick reloads with the low profile 18-round double-stack magazines. Suggested retail for the Hawk 5.0 is $1499 according to the company's print catalog.
