The HK VP9 won the American Rifleman Golden Bullseye in 2015 for Handgun of the Year, and since then multiple variations have been introduced, including a .40 cal. and a Tactical Model. Now it has added a compact version, the VP9 SK. American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach stopped by the H&K booth at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta to see the German-made striker-fired 9 mm compact's features up close—which include the same characteristics as the popular full-size model, including the adjustable VP grip with interchangeable backstraps and lateral grip panels unique to HK pistols. Check out the video here for the rundown from H&K pro shooter Derek Giddings.

MSRP: $719
