Smith & Wesson entered the striker-fired polymer handgun market back in 2006 with the introduction of the M&P, and now a decade later the manufacturer has introduced the second generation of this highly successful line. Upgrades made to the M&P M2.0 include an improved trigger with a lighter pull weight and a more distinct reset, more aggressive texturing on the handgun’s grip surfaces, four interchangeable backstrap inserts instead of three and the addition of front slide serrations. Eight full-size models of the M2.0 are offered at launch, chambered in 9 mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, with variants available either with or lacking bilateral thumb safeties. smith-wesson.com
