The winner of the Lucky Shooter Sweepstakes will take home an FN FNS-40 handgun, a case of Aguila .40 S&W ammo, Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic, SureFire E2D, SOG SYNC II multi tool, Otis Technology Defender cleaning system, Alien Gear’s Cloak Tuck 3.0 and a Bigfoot Steel Reinforced Leather Gun Belt.

If you believe in the luck of your Irish, you might want to sign up on the first day of the sweepstakes—March 17. Procrastinators and herpetologists can do so anytime between then and April 2.

A valid e-mail address is required, and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Registrants can earn extra entries by sharing the promotion on social media. Prize package is valued at $2,000.

St. Patrick is known ridding Ireland of snakes, a dazzling deed that today would result in jail time and fines due to violation of the Endangered Species Act. Thankfully, this package from Aguila Ammunition and its distributor—Texas Armament & Technology—is designed for defense against a different kind of cold-blooded predator. Admittedly, today’s criminals are also a flat-headed scaly breed that devour anyone in their way (especially someone who rats them out), but the invasive species is thriving.

It’s no coincidence the winner is taking home a handgun chambered in .40 S&W, by the way. When snakes harassed St. Patrick during a lengthy fast on a hilltop, he finally had enough and loudly warned he was armed and prepared to defend the island from their skin shedding ways and forked tongues. The slimy hissing stopped after he took up his staff—freshly and spiritually recharged from that 40-day period of hunger—and waved them permanently into the sea. Seriously. Look it up.

Today’s bipedal reptiles have the same respect for modern snake-dispatchers charged with a 40 or above. Don’t wave this “staff” around, though. The local constabulary takes a dim view of that practice.
