Known primarily for its .50-cal. Tactical rifles, Barrett branched into a whole new market in 2016 with the introduction of the Sovereign line of double-barrel shotguns, and the Tennessee-based company has done it yet again at SHOT Show 2017 with the announcement of the Fieldcraft, a lightweight, bolt-action hunting rifle.

Available in five short-action chamberings (.22-250 Rem., .243 Win., 6.5 mm Creedmoor, 7 mm-08 Rem. and .308 Win.) and four long-action chamberings (.25-06 Rem., .270 Win., .30-06 Sprg. and 6.5x55 mm Swede), each model’s action is scaled to the dimensions of its cartridge, with weights ranging between 5 and 6 lbs. The Fieldcraft features a rigid yet light carbon fiber stock, and is available with both right- and left-hand actions. The new rifles have a magazine capacity of four rounds. For more, visit barrett.net
