SHOT Show 2017: SilencerCo Maxim 9 Pistol

With an appearance that's straight out of a sci-fi movie, the Maxim 9 by SilencerCo, the worlds first integral suppressor semi-automatic pistol, is ready to launch for 2017. The 1:10" twist  4.38” fixed barrel is housed inside a flat-sided sound suppression system with a profile designed to take up the same amount of holster space as a standard duty size double stack 9 mm with an accessory rail mounted light module. A good deal of work has gone into the action and ergonomics of the whole pistol in order to ensure reliable operation and a comfortable shooting experience. Despite it's bulky appearance, the Maxim 9 is lightweight and handy.

This SilencerCo system ships with the rods and baffles needed to set up the pistol in either a long or compact configuration. The longer configuration will handle all 9 mm bullet weights and power levels (+P, +P+) while the shorter configuration is designed to operate with subsonic loads. This pistol is easy to disassemble for routine cleaning using a push-button take-down for access to the slide and action in addition to two screws which can be removed to access the sound suppressor.
