If you’re thinking about conducting business through an online ad, be aware that not all “sellers” are good people. A pair of Aiken, S.C., residents thought they would buy a car by responding to a private online ad. When they met the “sellers” to check out the car, the two strangers pulled out guns and demanded that the car shoppers hand over all their money. While the would-be robbers pointed their guns at the male buyer, his girlfriend pulled out her legally owned handgun and fired, killing one bad guy. Police are seeking his accomplice. (The Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, 11/27/15)

The Armed Citizen® Extra
Three armed men tried to burglarize a Henry County, Ga., apartment—but only one would survive the attempt. The trio, wearing dark hoodies and gloves, broke into the second-story apartment via the balcony while at least two of the residents were home. Grabbing his gun, one of the apartment-dwellers fired on the intruders. One thief collapsed inside the apartment and was deceased by the time the police arrived. A second was found dead in a nearby field. The third culprit is still unaccounted for. No injuries to the residents were reported. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta, GA, 12/1/15)

December 1988
When a youth wandered into Neva Clark’s Baltimore, Md., grocery store and began looking over the candy counter, the owner asked what he wanted. The youth replied he wanted money, and pulled what later turned out to be a BB gun. Pretending to comply, Clark reached for his own revolver and came up firing. The wounded would-be robber was apprehended by police and faces three charges. “I wanted to make sure I got the first shot,” the 81-year-old shopkeeper said. “I beat him to it.” Clark was not charged in the shooting. President’s Column | President Meets President

I am quite certain, that for the first time in NRA history the President of the United States met with the NRA president, the NRA president asked for his support for national Right-to-Carry (NRTC), and then, on a national stage, President Trump called out the NRA president’s name and pledged his support for national Right-to-Carry legislation. But that’s exactly what happened at a rally near Allentown, Pa., in late June.

Political Report | Trump Reiterates National Right-to-Carry Support

I am repeatedly reminded of how critical it was that the NRA engaged early in supporting Donald Trump’s 2016 candidacy—and that he won. A recent example came in June, when President Trump spoke to American workers at a Mack Trucks facility in Macungie, Pa.
