HatsanUSA has announced that, for the first time, its proprietary QuietEnergy system will be included in a new break-barrel airgun—the MOD87. The technology incorporates a fully shrouded barrel and integrated sound moderator to drastically reduce sound by 50 percent without diminishing any of the airgun's muzzle velocity.

The MOD87 QuietEnergy, available in .177 cal. (1000fps), .22 cal. (800fps) and .25 cal. (650fps), is designed to shoot high-quality lead pellets, which results is greater accuracy and energy upon impact from an airgun.

The MOD87 QuietEnergy is fitted with TRUGLO fiber optic front and rear sights, a grooved cylinder for 11 mm scope mounts and an adjustable comb with an "EasyAdjust" knob integrated directly into the stock. And like all HatsanUSA airguns, nearly every component of the MOD87 QuietEnergy is manufactured in-house by the Turkish manufacturer, including its precision rifled German steel barrel, fully adjustable 2-stage Quattro trigger and SAS Shock Absorber System. MSRP is $249.99 and includes an Optima 3-9x32 mm scope.
