Attached to an adjustable elastic headband and using a 180-lumen LED bulb, ExtremeBeam’s OSR-800 weighs only 3.9 ounces, with batteries, making it comfortable even when worn for extended durations. A quick-focus feature allows the beam to be concentrated or disbursed for different ranges and activities. Adjustments are made via the lamp’s head bezel, which also features a red translucent ring that produces peripheral light when the beam is fully focused. The OSR-800 has several modes of operation including High, Low and Flash, as well as a special S.O.S. flashing pattern. Powered by three AAA batteries, the headlamp has a “Hike Back” safety feature that gradually dims the light when energy gets low, giving users more than an hour to replace the batteries or return to camp.
