Otis Technology is now offering a new addition to its gun-care product line with the Ripcord. The Ripcord is a fast, one-pass cleaning tool composed of heat resistant Nomex fibers braided over a molded rubberized core-cable combination.

Nomex is used in protective gear trusted by firefighters, race car drivers and the U.S. military. It is heat resistant up to 700 degrees Fahrenheit, and can be used right off the range without melting it in the barrel. The Nomex acts as a brush and a patch. Additional features of the Ripcord are its ability to remove obstructions and jammed cases or blockages, and its 8-32 threaded ends for utilizing other Otis cleaning components.

Available at an MSRP of $14.99, the Ripcord is now available in .22/.223 caliber, .308 caliber/7.62 mm, 9 mm, and .45 caliber, with other calibers coming soon.
