Currently sold to U.S. Navy Seal teams and Coast Guard units, American-made Gator Skins use a knitted fabric constructed from DuPont-created ultra microfibers, which are smaller in diameter than a human blood cell.

The resulting garments (and accessories), which are purported to be three times warmer than wool, are lightweight, weighing less than paper, yet are windproof, water-resistant, breathable, and will not shrink, fray or tear. Gator Skins are antimicrobial, will not retain odors and are laundered normally. Price: $25-$60.
