One of the early attempts to improve the trigger pull on a single-action/double-action semi-automatic pistol was the Daewoo DP 51. Ever heard of “fast fire”? How about this: By cocking the gun and pushing the hammer forward you got a double-action pull length with a single-action pull weight.
