After several years of purchase limits imposed by retailers during the .22 ammo shortage, we're hearing regular reports that big-box retailers and local gun shops are once again becoming fully stocked, with abundant supplies of most brands back on the shelves. A large percentage of that resupply can be attributed to Winchester Ammunition, which produces millions of rounds of the rimfire cartridge every year. How did they weather the .22 shortage storm, and how exactly do they manufacture this little cartridge? This week the ARTV team is back in Winchester's Oxford, Miss., manufacturing plant to learn the answer to all these questions and more.
