A homeowner in Van Nuys, Calif., opened fire on intruders, sending them fleeing following an attempted burglary.

LAPD officers arrived at the residence at about 9:45 p.m. on April 9 following a report of shots fired. An investigation found that the homeowner had discovered four men inside his home. He fired a single shot at one of the intruders, which caused all four men to flee the residence. No injuries were reported and it was not known if any property was taken during the alleged burglary.
