A man was standing outside his vehicle one morning when two men, one armed with a handgun, approached him demanding his keys. The victim, who had a valid concealed-carry license, pulled out his gun and fired, striking one of the criminals. The wounded robber was taken to a hospital while the other managed to run away, but was later apprehended by police. (Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago, IL, 5/10/17)

From the Armed Citizen® Archives
June 1985
Rev. James Teamer of Charlotte, N.C., and his wife, awakened by a disturbance, discovered the lights were not working. After arming himself with a pistol, the 77-year-old Teamer confronted four intruders entering through a rip in the porch screen. Teamer told them to leave, but one advanced and the elderly cleric shot and wounded him. The intruders fled, but were arrested later. (The News and Observer, Raleigh, NC)
