Installing an enhanced-visibility front sight on a revolver typically requires drilling the stem of the blade to align with the crosspin holes in the gun’s sight rib—a task outside the comfort zone of some casual tinkerers.

XS Sights has a solution for owners of Smith & Wesson J-frames, such as the 640 and 340 PD, that have front sights attached with a single pin and fixed rear sights.

Its Standard Dot Revolver Front Sight features a pre-drilled stem and an aiming point consisting of a 0.015" photoluminescent green dot with a tritium center that glows brightly in low-light conditions.

The sight has also been found to have compatibility with some Ruger SP101 revolvers.

MSRP is $65. For more information, visit xssights.com.
