RIA 5.0E

Rock Island Armory introduced its initial 5.0 pistol in January 2023, and after some tweaking and production streamlining, the new 5.0E, with the “E” standing for “Enhanced,” launched earlier this year.

Notably, the new, U.S.-made, competition-oriented, 9 mm Luger-chambered design features a red-dot optics cut instead of an LPA adjustable sight and an updated match barrel design made with “improved materials,” according to RIA.

The slide geometry has also been changed, featuring aggressive serrations to make up for its low profile.

The pistol uses a 4.91" barrel contained within an 8.1" slide, and it measures 5.2" high.

The hybrid steel-polymer grip frame accepts a 17-round magazine and includes a single-sided, push-button magazine release, single-sided slide-stop lever and a blade-in-shoe flat trigger.

A five-slot Picatinny accessory rail completes the package.

MSRP is $1,988. For more information, visit armscor.com.
