Savage Arms has followed its wildly popular rimfire A-Series by introducing the rimfire bolt-action B-Serieswhich brings us to this week's NRA Gun of the Week: the B17 FV. This bolt-action, rimfire rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine with capacity of 10 rounds—a departure from the company’s previous Model 93. Chambered for .17 HMR, this particular B17 FV comes from the factory with a 21” heavy-contour barrel and the maker’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger. A new stock design is apparent, with ergonomics that allow for a natural feel when shootingright out of the box, without aftermarket adjustments. With an MSRP of less than $350, there is every reason to take a closer look. We did, and you can check out the new plinkster in this video hosted by American Rifleman's Christopher Olsen.
