The Modern Mossberg Rifle, MMR for short, is Mossberg’s take on the popular semi-automatic AR-15 rifle. This particular rendition of the Stoner design lacks features like a forward assist, delta ring, two-piece handguard and barrel-mounted gas block with sight post. Instead Mossberg is using a proprietary fore-end, similar to its previous models, but enhanced to save on weight and provide space for additional accessories with 41 M-LOK-compatible cut-outs. Picatinny rails span the top surfaces of the upper receiver and fore-end. The company’s use of Magpul’s MOE grip and enlarged trigger guard enhance its utility and handling. Factory equipped, rail-mounted iron sights and a 30-round magazine enable the shooter to unbox the rifle and head to the range.
