Since about the inception of the metallic cartridge, lever-action rifles have been a mainstay in the firearm community, with designs continually improving to maintain the relevance of this classic American firearm. Henry Repeating Arms, a brand almost as storied as the venerated lever-action itself, is doing its part to keep the rifles' performance up-to-date, while still maintaining the legacy of its design. As such, the company has chambered its Long Ranger for the modern 6.5 mm Creedmoor round, featuring a lever- and gear-driven bolt assembly, with a rotating bolt that locks into a free-floating 20” blued-steel barrel. Adorned in American walnut  with modern laser-cut checkering, the detachable-box-fed rifle reaches ranges once considered impossible for a lever-action gun.
