New for 2025, from Stoeger Industries, is the STR-9 ThinLine pistol. Designed for everyday carry (EDC), this latest Stoeger offering is packing a lot into its thin profile, and it will come chambered for the ubiquitous 9 mm Luger cartridge with a magazine capacity for up to 16 rounds. Building upon the company’s micro compact announced in 2023, the new-for-2025 STR-9 ThinLine pistol is a compact configuration that retains much of the design and thinness of its micro-compact predecessor. At about 1” wide, the new STR-9 ThinLine pistol delivers optic-mounting capabilities, thanks to its shield RMS/SMS footprint machined into the included nitride-treated steel slide.

The STR-9 ThinLine’s slide features interesting improvements as well, such a new style of serrations fore and aft in addition to muzzle ports to work with the rebated barrel to help reduce muzzle flip and recoil. With the STR-9 ThinLine is a 3.3” barrel of which comes as a cold-hammer-forged steel unit. As with other STR-9 guns from Stoeger, with the new ThinLine you’ll get an ergonomically friendly black polymer grip frame with an imbedded stainless-steel chassis. The striker-fired system contains no manual safety levers currently but does include passive systems such as an automatic firing pin safety and trigger safety.

Considering the new STR-9 ThinLine is meant to be carried out every day, Stoeger includes a set of three-dot sights that contain tritium for enhanced low-light performance. In addition, the ThinLine frame has a section of molded-in Picatinny rail for accessories. Overall length of the new STR-9 Thinline pistol measures 6.7” and its height measures 4.8” tall. The gun tips the scale at 22.3 ozs.

Stoeger’s STR-9 Thinline pistols will ship with 14- and 16-round magazines, and 10-round versions for localities with magazine-capacity restrictions will be available. MSRP starts at $529. For more information, visit stoegerindustries.com.
