New For 2024: Mossberg Reserve Series Shotguns

While pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns are the first things that come to mind when you mention the name Mossberg, the company has been importing over-under shotguns in its Reserve series for nearly two decades. New for 2024, Mossberg is expanding its Reserve offerings with seven new models that cover the spectrum from competition to hunting.

Mossberg’s top-of-the-line over-under shotguns are its Gold Reserve series. Gold Reserve Sporting shotguns use a dual locking lug, boxlock action with ejectors. Furniture is hand-selected, Grade A black walnut with cut checkering and a satin finish. The polished receiver features scroll engraving and gold inlay, and the polished blue barrels have a vent rib and chrome-lined bores and chambers. The new Gold Reserve model for 2024 is chambered in 20 gauge with a 30” barrel, with an MSRP of $1,135.

Mossberg’s Silver Reserve over-under shotguns combine high quality at an affordable price. All feature the same dual locking lug, boxlock action with ejectors and chrome-lined barrels of the Gold Reserve series. The new-for-2024 Silver Reserve models are in Mossberg’s Eventide series, meaning that all have synthetic furniture.

The first is the Turkey model. Offered in 12 gauge with a 3.5” chamber or in 20 and 28 gauge with a 3” chamber, all models have 20” barrels, a fiber-optic front sight and sling mounts. The entire surface of both the metal components and furniture are finished with a Mossy Oak Greenleaf camouflage. Each shotgun is supplied with three extended choke tubes (two XX full and one improved cylinder). All three chamberings in the Mossberg Silver Reserve Eventide-Turkey series have an MSRP of $927.

The Silver Reserve Eventide Waterfowl is a 12 gauge with 3.5” chamber and 28” barrel. Metal components have a Patriot Brown Cerakote finish, and the synthetic furniture is in Mossy Oak Vintage Shadowgrass camouflage. It comes with sling mounts and a five-choke field set. The Silver Reserve Eventide Waterfowl has an MSRP of $956.

The most basic shotgun in the Eventide series has black synthetic furniture and a matte-blue metal finish. To complement the 12-ga. model already offered, for 2024 Mossberg is introducing a 20-ga. Silver Reserve Eventide with an MSRP of $756. For more information, visit mossberg.com.
