MPI Stocks is a manufacturer of hand-laminated fiberglass and Kevlar-graphite rifle stocks out of Oregon. Offering the advantage of lighter weight and greater strength than the typical factory walnut or birch rifle stock, MPI also adds the attractive features of pre-bedded models and models for guns that are not typically thought of as even having a synthetic option. One of the latter is the company’s M1 Garand stock, which I hope to try out for an ongoing Garand modernization project. MPI also offers blank stocks and “premium custom restocking for a wide a variety of styles and rifles.”
