When it comes to the lever-action platforms, rifles abound, but the concept has been rarely applied to shotguns. Today, only a few makers offer lever-action shotguns, and one of those is GForce Arms and its LVR410. Watch our full "Gun of the Week" episode above to see the details of this small-bore shotgun.
"This is a lever-action shotgun chambered for the .410 bore cartridge," American Rifleman Executive Editor Evan Brune said. "It is produced in Turkey by Radical Arms and is imported by GeForce Arms out of Nevada. And this is just a clear example that we are still in the age of the lever-action."
The GForce Arms LVR410 is equipped with a 24-inch barrel and includes an eight-round, under-barrel tube magazine that is loaded through a gate in the right side of the receiver. Unloaded, the shotgun weighs 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and it measures 42.5 inches in overall length.
On the top of the barrel, you'll see that it's got a set of adjustable sights," Brune said. "They are almost rifle-style sights, so they're fully adjustable for windage and elevation. At the rear, you've got a fiber-optic sight up front, and while we're at the front of the gun, you'll notice that it is choked. This gun does take Beretta/Benelli Mobil style chokes, and three of them come with the gun."
The aluminum receiver features a silver Cerakote finish, and the carbon-steel barrel includes a 2.5-inch chamber that accepts most standard-length .410 bore shotshells. The single-stage trigger measured 2 pounds, 15 ounces on our test gun.
"So if you want to have some fun out in the field or, you know, shoot some skeet with your lever-action .410, this is the platform to do it with," Brune said.
