American Tactical Inc., (ATI), a U.S.-based importer and manufacturer, is bringing its FXH-45 Moxie pistol to market as a hybrid representation of the full-size Browning 1911 pistol. This latest handgun chambered for .45 ACP from ATI sports a polymer frame, a slide cut for optics and comes with an affordable price tag.

Built from the blueprints of the Browning design, the FXH-45 is a single-action, recoil-operated pistol that has capacity for eight rounds. The gun’s frame, however, is made of molded polymer. Use of this material reduces weight and paves the way for modifications such as the finger grooves on the front strap, an enlarged trigger guard and rail for accessories.

ATI supplies its FXH-45 Moxie pistol with a milled slide for use with red-dot optics. An optic mount is required and available from ATI. Glock-style sights are provided from the factory and the parkerized steel slide contains wide-cut serrations at the rear.

In addition to a reinforced polymer frame, ATI adds subtle features to improve the user experience of the FXH-45 Moxie pistol. A checkered and arched mainspring house is supplied along with an extended beavertail grip that contains a memory pad for optimum engagement.
