Armed Citizen® Today

An armed citizen defended himself and his girlfriend when a road-rage incident turned into conflict in Manhattan, Kan., on the afternoon of March 31, 2021.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. that Wednesday when the young couple were involved in a traffic dispute. The other driver followed the couple's car into a town center parking lot and parked. The other driver then exited his vehicle and approached the couples car with a crowbar in hand.

The 21-year-old driver of the targeted car saw the other driver approach his vehicle in a threatening manner. The driver drew his pistol in response, and shot the aggressor as he continued to advance. The shots wounded the crowbar-wielding aggressor, who was later airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. (wibw.com, Topeka, Kan., 03/31/2021)
