Otis Technology will supply more than 52,500 bottles of hand sanitizer for distribution during the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, scheduled Jan. 19 to 22 in Las Vegas, NV. Otis Technology is headquartered in Lyons Falls, NY, and manufactures a wide variety of firearm maintenance products, including breech-to-muzzle pull-through cleaning cable, brushes, jags, patches, cleaning solution, ripcords, lubricant and more.

“We’re excited to see all our industry partners and customers at the 2021 SHOT Show and support it so that we and others can conduct business safely,” said Otis Technology CEO Larry Williams. “Our hand sanitizer will assist attendees and exhibitors alike in maintaining the proper precautions. We’ve been supporting our partners and nation’s health heroes with hand sanitizer, hands-free stations and various forms of PPE since March, and are proud to support the NSSF [National Shooting Sports Foundation] and SHOT Show.”

Earlier this month, Geissele Automatics donated a quarter million face masks for use by the industry professionals attending the show. The company, like Otis, is a highly regarded leader in the firearm industry.

The hand sanitizer and masks will be distributed to those attending the show in response to health advisories related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual event is not open to the general public, although it still manages to attract more than 50,000 each year to the Sands Expo Center.

The SHOT Show remains scheduled to take place, although the fluid nature of travel restrictions and wellness guidelines may have a significant impact on the event, perhaps most notably on international companies and staff.

Combined with winter’s annual onset of flu season, the donation announcements are a welcome addition for professionals scheduled to work what has become the firearm industry’s showcase of new and improved guns and gear will take place.
