Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s—the nationwide chain that sells firearms and ammunition—has issued companywide bonuses for its hourly front-line retail, distribution center and manufacturing plant team of $250, $500, $750 or $1,000. The funds, which are based on job role and seniority.

The checks represent what adds up to a multimillion-dollar investment from the company to reward its Outfitters and team members for their efforts to continue serving customers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company is actively hiring more than 5,000 team members to support America’s renewed interested in the outdoors. It is also raising nationwide starting wages in its distribution centers to attract and reward the passionate team members. Starting wages vary by market.

“It is difficult to put into words how deeply proud we are of all our dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly on the frontlines throughout this pandemic, showing up every day to take care of our customers,” said Johnny Morris, noted conservationist and founder of Bass Pro Shops and White River Marine Group. “We are very proud to reward our frontline team members with these well-deserved bonuses for all their efforts in these challenging times.”
