New for 2020, Rock River Arms is introducing a new addition to its line of semi-automatic, AR-style pistols chambered in 9 mm Luger: the BT92152. The new addition, like the rest of the BT-9 series, is designed to accept Glock-style magazines, allowing those who already have Glock pistols to have cross-compatibility. The smaller size also optimizes the platform as a favorable contender for personal defense.

The new BT92152 features a 4.5,” chrome-moly 1:10"-twist barrel with 1/2"-36 TPI threads with a Smith Vortex flash suppressor. It comes with an RRA 4.25,” lightweight, free-float, M-LOK-compatible handguard machined from aluminum. The upper receiver is constructed of A4 extruded aluminum, while the lower receiver is billet. The lower receiver is Glock magazine-compatible, allowing it to take Glock factory or aftermarket Glock-style magazines. The magazine well is flared to help guide the magazine in, making loading easier and faster.

The magazine release and integral trigger guard are both enlarged to allow easier manipulation and ease of use with gloves in cold weather. It comes with an RRA two-stage trigger. The forward assist typically found on AR-style platforms is omitted, and the dust-cover is specifically sized to fit the shortened ejection-port. The BT92152 also incorporates the SB Tactical SBA3 pistol brace with five length-of-pull adjustments. It also comes standard with a Hogue overmolded-rubber A2 grip with finger-grooves.

With its short 4.5” barrel, the BT92152 has an overall length of 23.5” with the brace fully extended. This makes it the most compact option available in the BT-9 series, which consists of two carbine and three pistol variants. It also makes it an excellent choice for inclusion in a compact self-defense kit like those optimized for vehicle use, hiking and home defense. The MSRP starts at $1,350.
