While the rifle market has been inundated with hundreds of takes on the AR-15, the original AR platform chambered in .308 Win. has received less attention. Luckily, Red Arrow Weapons has an enhanced option based on the AR .308 platform in its RAW10 design, bringing a dedicated short-action semi-auto to firearm enthusiasts that's packed with the latest upgrades.

At the heart of the Red Arrow Weapons RAW10 is a stainless-steel barrel outfitted with a 1:10" twist rate. The barrel features straight fluting that increases surface area for rapid cooling, enabling shooters to shoot longer without the barrel overheading. The fluting also reduces some weight from the barrel itself, which shifts the balance of the rifle rearward.

Surrounding the 18" barrel is a 15" M-LOK RAW handguard complete with M-LOK attachment slots at the 9-, 3- and 6-o'clock positions. Instead of running a continuous Picatinny rail from the front of the receiver to the muzzle end of the handguard, the RAW design includes short rail sections at the front and rear, interrupted by a streamlined, ventilated space that removes weight and promotes the flow of air through the handguard to the barrel for increased cooling.

Inside the aluminum receiver set on the RAW10, consumers will find a CMC single-stage trigger that breaks cleanly at 2.5 lbs. The rifle also comes outfitted with an AR-10-style bolt-carrier group complete with a Melonite-treated finish and a high-pressure firing pin. Rounding out the back end of the gun is a Magpul K Grip and ACS-L Carbine stock.

The Red Arrow Weapons RAW10 also features a rifle-length gas system, a DB10 muzzle brake and a Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish. Unloaded, the rifle weighs 8 lbs., 7.5 oz. and measures 35.75" with a fully collapsed stock. The suggested retail price on the RAW10 is $1,250. For more information, visit redarrowweapons.com.
