Designed for concealment, Ruger’s 9 mm Luger Security-9 Compact pistol is a 21.9 oz. hammer-fired, double-action-only recoil-operated pistol. Shown here in the compact-size configuration, concealed-carry practitioners get a balance of quality, precision and budget-friendly sticker price. 10-round magazines, drift-adjustable sights and smartly patterned stippling throughout the gun’s black polymer frame aptly contribute to the gun’s ability to handle full-power defensive cartridges. A Picatinny rail along the frame’s dustcover provides room for accessories. To learn more, check out our NRA Gun of the Week video hosted by American Rifleman’s Brian Sheetz.
