A man trying to force his way into a Crescent Township home met with more resistance than anticipated. When a 22-year-old showed up asking about a specific person, he was informed by the 59-year old homeowner that no one was there by that name, at which point the homeowner shut and locked the door. Not satisfied with the response, the 22-year-old began screaming and kicked the door in, leaving the homeowner little choice but to shoot. The shots proved fatal, and the intruder was pronounced dead at the scene. (pittsburgh.cbslocal.com, Crescent Township, Pa., 06/25/2019)
