Offering surprising optical clarity for a unit in this price range, the Axeon 4-12X 40 mm is a lightweight (13.25 ozs.), second-focal-plane riflescope built on a 1” body tube. Making use of a simple Plex reticle, the Axeon offers an impressively wide field of view (25’ at 4X to 8.3’ at 12X) and is waterproof, shockproof and fogproof. Elevation and windage adjustments—1/4-m.o.a. per click—are made via low-profile turrets on the top and right side of the scope, respectively, and the scope’s fixed parallax setting is regulated for use at 100 yds. The scope can be had for $139.
