Long a trusted go-to for deals on guns, Guns.com recently announced the expansion of their website's marketplace component. Building off the existing platform, which allowed users to easily find good prices on firearms, Guns.com has added ammunition, magazines and optics to the mix, making it an effective one-stop-shop for a firearm buyer also looking to grab some necessary accessories.

The expanded marketplace is not the only thing new at Guns.com, however. In fact, the whole website got a facelift. Chris Callahan, Guns.com president, gave a few words on the redesign: "User-friendly and easy to navigate, we designed the new website and accompanying product line expansion with the customer's needs foremost in mind."  On the topic of the new marketplace, he continued, "... we have added thousands of new ammunition and magazine choices from household names that people love, such as Federal, Hornady and Remington, coupled with optics lines from the likes of Trijicon, SIG Sauer, and Nikon, as well as both factory and reliable aftermarket magazine choices."

The best part about Guns.com? Rather than smothering the market from the top, the platform uses its size and reach to support local businesses. Guns.com is organized more as a marketplace than a store, meaning they work with a vast network of FFLs around the country to ensure not just a secure transaction, but also to prioritize local shops' own inventory, selling their guns first whenever possible. In this way, Guns.com manages to bring consumers the best prices, while still helping small gun stores and local communities.
