The U.S. Army has requested 6,069 SIG Sauer Tango6 1-6X 24 mm riflescopes for use with Squad Designated Marksman Rifles (SDMR). The optic is the final component to be selected for the complete SDMR system, which is intended to improve the long-range firepower for our soldiers at the tactical level. The Tango6 1-6X 24 mm SDMR riflescope features a Flat Dark Earth anodized aluminum maintube and an illuminated 7.62x51 mm NATO Extended Range Bullet Drop Compensation first-focal-plane reticle. A locking illumination dial and throw lever, for fast magnification adjustments, are included along with a laser-marked scope-level indicator. Commercial versions of the Tango6 riflescope are also available. sigsauer.com
