Colt has updated its first pistol in its Combat Unit series, the Combat Unit 1911 Pistol.

Offered in both 9 mm and .45 ACP, the Combat Unit 1911 includes features from the original model like the dual recoil spring system, Novak night sights, cocking serrations, as well as 25 LPI checkering on the frontstrap. And after listening to its customers' wish list, the pistol now also includes an integrated magazine funnel and an ambidextrous thumb safety.

Colt also offers a non-railed version for those who want to holster it, plus for carry purposes, a CCO version that has a Defender-length grip structure and Commander-length slide. MSRP: $1,599
