The long-awaited high-tech Smart ABDO from European American Armory is finally available for purchase. A small, portable safe that can be clipped either to a belt or purse, the Smart ABDO attempts to fuse the fast-access of a concealed-carry rig with the security of a safe. The unit had previously been available during BETA testing to select individuals. An original version of the ABDO, which featured no smart-technology features, was introduced in 2016.

The integrated smart technology provides features such as GSM/Wifi communication for remote operation; GPS functionality for locating a lost or stolen device; self-aware tamper alarm that sends a text notification if unauthorized access is attempted; and a hijack monitor that automatically locks the device and sounds an alarm if ABDO is removed without authorization while in fast-access mode.

To celebrate the launch, the Smart ABDO will be available through the 2018 holiday season at a discounted rate of $349  from its usual $450), and will come with four free months of data connectivity. For more information, please visit eaacorp.com.
