The Model 1301 Tactical shotgun has become Beretta's signature platform, and the 2018 model features some changes over previous years. The most obvious is the availability in multiple colors, like the FDE version shown in this video from Industry Day at the Range. The most requested change that was implemented over the original 1301 came from consumers and law enforcement—an all-metal bolt release. Beyond that, Beretta also made the shotgun more durable by changing to an aluminum Picatinny rail and tightening up the rear sight. American Rifleman's Mark Keefe had the chance to shoot it out in the Las Vegas desert ahead of SHOT Show 2018.
