Earlier this season ARTV took a close look at Winchester Ammunition's center-fire pistol operations. But the manufacturer also produces millions of rounds of center-fire rifle ammo each year and is responsible for developing some of the most iconic cartridges in firearm history—cartridges like the .30-30, the .308 Win., the .243 Win., the .300 Win. Mag. among others. This week the ARTV team remains in Winchester's Oxford, Miss., manufacturing plant to understand the challenges of designing and developing center-fire rifle cartridges.
